New Account Application Instructions

 

If you are submitting your application online:
  1. Complete all pages of the Online Application. Unless otherwise noted, all fields are required.
  2. If you leave any of the required fields blank or input them with improper symbols, you will receive an error message. To make the correction, click the OK button, and make the corrections in the appropriate box.
  3. When you have completed the Online Application, click on the "Finish" button at the bottom of the form.
  4. Your browser software will automatically encrypt your data so that it cannot be read by anyone outside of Presidential®
  5. The final pages of the Online Application will provide you the oppurtunity to review the information you have entered in the form of your Signature Card and any other supporting documents. Confirm this information and then print the page(s) before continuing.
  6. Sign the Signature Card in all places, include your initial deposit (if applicable), and mail to:

  7. Account Opening via Mailed Check: Checks sent for initial deposit should be made payable to: "Presidential Online Bank" or one of the account applicants.  All initial deposits must be in U.S. Dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank.  Your initial deposit must be included with the signed signature card to open the account. Third-Party checks are NOT acceptable. Personal checks must be preprinted with the name and address of at least one of the new account holders. Cashier's checks used to open an account must show at least one of the new account holders as the remitter.
  8. Account Opening via eCheck: This is a service of Presidential Bank to help you easily transfer money into your new account. This site is on a secure server and all information is kept strictly confidential. The eCheck option will draft a hard copy of a check that will be sent directly to your bank for collection and used to initially fund your new account.
  9. Account Opening via Internal Transfer: As an existing Presidential customer, you may choose to transfer funds from your current Presidential account to the new account in order to expedite the account opening process.
  10. All authorized account signers must sign the Signature Card and any supporting documents.   Only the person whose Taxpayer ID is designated for the account (Customer #1) is required to sign the Taxpayer ID Certification (this form is required by the IRS). For Custodial (UTMA) accounts, the Custodian will sign the Taxpayer ID Certification as "Custodian For" the minor. For trusts with an EIN, the Primary Trustee (Customer #1) must sign the Taxpayer ID Certification.
  11. You will receive a confirmation letter and a deposit receipt within a few business days. You will start earning interest on your account (for interest-paying accounts) immediately upon receipt and approval by Presidential® of your initial deposit, as long as all necessary forms are signed and returned within thirty (30) calendar days from the opening date.
  12. All new account applications are subject to review and final approval by the bank.  Presidential® reserves the right to require appropriate additional documents to open new accounts.

 

If you are printing out and mailing your application:
  1. Complete the Mail-in Application by entering all required information. You may do this by entering the information online and printing the form (there is no security risk in doing this, and you can not submit this form online), OR you may print out the form and hand write the information.
  2. You must supply the information marked with an (*) asterisk, or the form may not be accepted. The signature card must be signed in all places and mailed, along with the initial deposit check (if applicable) to:

  3.
